all was great
one of the very best hotels I`ve been to (I`m 72 years old).
Location excellent, staff - especially at reception, concierge etc. extremely good, room service had a small shortage (used glasses were often not replaced). But all in all great experience
Art in the corridors
The breakfast was not as good as expected for the price. Scrambled eggs stale, salmon medium without horseradish. The bistro in the house is overpriced and not very good.
Check in way too late, they haven't even offered a drink. Staff in the restaurant partly arrogant. Breakfast does not correspond in any case to a 5 star hotel!!!.
The warm welcome and luxury experience.
No sea view unless you spent a lot more! Will have to save up for next time!
wonderful staff. celine at the front desk is a dream. we also like the owner, a very classy lady. we will return.
there was nothing wrong with the hotel, it was very satisfactory.
visited restaurante Chanteclear
- traffic noise, room design, room lighting, value for money
The ambiance is great. The public areas are gorgeous with vast numbers of art works, stained glass and classical design. The rotunda restaurant was fascinating with the merry go round horses going up and down. The service is superb and any problems were fixed within minutes. My room looked out over the gardens and the sea and I could lie in bed and watch the corniche. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was excellent.
There was only one electical outlet in the room which was very inconveniant. The buffet breakfast was not as good as i have had elsewhere - the selction of hot food was a bit skimpy - no mushrooms or tomatos for example. The bacon was good tho.
Perfect location, nice sea views, really interesting interiors.
Some service points, at the reseption and consierge points.
the interior of the hotel is exelent, very historical! The restoran is also very doog!
Service of the reception and also reception manager was full boor. We planed to stay 21 day- and changed the hotel to another one on the 2 day of our stay!!!
Very helpful staff; they even said "Have a nice stay" in my language that was amazing! Excellent localtion; place full of arts. You have a feeling that you stay in a museum but you really like it! Just spledid!
interesting hall decoration, like a museum
very old furniture, very old shower equipment (we spent not less, then 5 minutes for adapting suitable water), noise of repairing in some rooms, long distance to the old city
The hotel staff were incredibly professional, right from the gentleman who parked our car and unloaded our luggage to the check-in staff, to the waiter who served us martinis in the bar. We received a tour of the facilities as well. The room was very nice...and big. The hotel has a rich history behind it, and looks like a 4 star hotel from the 1920's. The hotel is located right across the street from the beach in Nice and a 5 minute walk from the shopping/restaurant area.
